چکیده

We discuss the radiative corrections to charged and neutral current deep-inelastic neutrino–nucleon scattering in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). In particular, we study deviations, δRν(ν̄), from the Standard Model prediction for the ratios of neutralto charged-current cross sections, taking into account all sources for deviations in the MSSM, i.e. different contributions from virtual Higgs bosons and virtual superpartners. Our calculation includes the full q2 dependence of the one-loop amplitudes, parton distribution functions and a NuTeVinspired process kinematics. We present results of a scan of δRν(ν̄) over the relevant MSSM parameter space. IPPP/06/74 DCPT/06/148 MPP-2006-139

Radiative Corrections to Deep-Inelastic Neutrino–Nucleon Scattering in the MSSM

In the Standard Model (SM), neutral (NC) and charged current (CC) neutrino–nucleon scattering are described in leading order by t-channel W and Z exchange, respectively (see Fig. 1). At the NuTeV experiment, νμ and ν̄μ beams of a mean energy of 125 GeV were scattered off a target detector and the ratios R = σ NC/σ ν CC and R ν̄ = σ NC/σ ν̄ CC were measured. The NuTeV collaboration also provided a ...

Positivity constraints for lepton polarization in neutrino deep inelastic scattering

We consider the spin polarization of leptons produced in neutrino and antineutrino nucleon deep inelastic scattering, via charged currents, and we study the positivity constraints on the spin components in a model independent way. These results are very important, in particular in the case of τ leptons, because the polarization information is crucial in all future neutrino oscillation experimen...

December 2000 xF γZ 3 in Charged Lepton Scattering

Measurements of the structure function xF γZ 3 are now becoming available in charged lepton deep inelastic scattering at HERA. The correction factors which are necessary to compare these with measurements of xF νN 3 in neutrino-nucleon scattering are deduced and a comparison is made between the H1 and the CCFR data. A sum rule is derived for the structure function xF γZ 3 measured in charged le...

Quark-Hadron Duality in Neutrino Scattering

We present a phenomenological model of the quark-hadron transition in neutrino-nucleon scattering. Using recently extracted weak nucleon transition form factors, we investigate the extent to which local and global quark-hadron duality is applicable in the neutrino F1, F2 and F3 structure functions, and contrast this with duality in electron scattering. Our findings suggest that duality works re...

Flux Independent Measurements of Deep Inelastic Neutrino Processes

2 BP The scaling variable v = xy = 2(Ep/M) sin 2 is useful for the description of deep inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering processes. This variable is determined solely by the momentum and angle of the outgoing lepton. The normalized scattering distribution in this variable is independent of incident lepton energy and flux, provided scale-invariance is valid. The sensitivity to various hypoth...
